HUB-SDM5 5-Channel Hub for SDM Peripherals

 e HUB-SDM5 can make it more convenient to con-

nect multiple SDMs to a single datalogger. It con-

sists of DIN-rail mounted busbars housed in a small

environmental enclosure. Connection terminals for

up to  ve external SDM devices are included.  e

HUB-SDM5’s enclosure is  tted with six compression

 ttings on its lower surface. Each compression  tting

accommodates entry/exit of one cable.  e enclosure

also has an external bracket for attaching the enclosure

to a pole or mast.

Spring-loaded guillotine terminals mounted on a DIN-

rail provide connection points for individual wires.  e

terminals are grouped in  ve sets of six terminals each

allowing connection of  ve groups of  ve incoming

wires and one common outgoing wire. A small screw-

driver is included to open the guillotines for wire entry.

HUB-SDM8 8-Channel Hub for SDM Peripherals & Power Connectors

 e HUB-SDM8 is intended for customers who want

to connect multiple SDMs to the same datalogger, as

well as run multiple power connections using a 16 AWG

wire.  e HUB-SDM8 is comprised of an environmen-

tal enclosure with eight compression  ttings (two larger)

and eight terminal strips. Up to  ve external SDMs

can be connected to the HUB-SDM8’s terminals.

CABLE5CBL-L 5-Conductor 24-AWG Cable with Drain Wire

 e CABLE5CBL-L is recommended for connecting

the SDM to the datalogger. A 1- cable length should

be su cient when both the datalogger and SDM are

housed within an ENC12/14 enclosure; a 2- length

may be required if the datalogger and the SDM are

housed at opposite ends of an ENC16/18 enclosure.

Cable lengths should be kept as short as possible.

Long cable lengths can adversely a ect the measure-

ment.  e SDMSpeed CRBasic instruction should be

used if the cable length is longer than 20  .
